The Impact Factor (IF) or Journal Impact Factor (JIF) of an academic journal measures the relative importance of the journal in its field of research. Journals with greater impact factors are considered to be more important than lower ones. The founder of the Institute for Scientific Information – Eugene Garfield – established the impact factor 1975. It measures the average number of citations published in one journal in a year.
We are medical doctors working in the field of Internal Medicine. We make a lot of research and every time we want to publish a manuscript, we look for a good website where journals are listed by impact factors. Unfortunately those are very difficult to find, thats why we considered to develop this website by our self.
On this website, we publish year by year lists of academic journals ranked by impact factors. We have started with the field of Internal Medicine and now we have completed our table of contents including all existing scientific topics.
We hope you like this performance. If you recognize something that we could do better, please don't be shy to contact us.
